Le Petit Train Jaune

One Saturday, we slipped away to photograph the Ligne de Cerdagne's famous Train Jaune (Yellow Train).

Here we see the classic winter formation, spearheaded in this instance by the Z117 multiple unit. Dating back to 1909, it had clocked up an impressive 111 years of service at the time the photograph was taken. These units have undergone two major refurbishments throughout their lifespan and continue to provide an excellent service.
