They have returned

After Renfe withdrew this mythical series of locomotives from commercial service, the hope of being able to enjoy their presence once again on the tracks led to renting part of the still operational series.

A little while after passing through the paint shop and receiving new colors from GoTransport, this immaculate pseudo-tandem of Japonesas with registration number 269-352, was towing a TECO between Barcelona - Casa Antúnez and Zaragoza - Plaza.

I can't help but feel nostalgia remembering that almost 10 years ago I photographed the same seudotándem, with a livery much more in line with my tastes, with a Potasero service that no longer exists. Another loss of one of the constants that Spanish trains are suffering. Clearly, they are survivors.

In the snapshot we can observe said train a short while after leaving the station of San Saturnino de Noya, among the vineyards of the region of Penedès.
