Farewell, Mont-Roig

Just a few days before the closure of the line between Port Aventura and Vandellòs, I spent several days visiting the area to observe the final train movements and to document both the services and infrastructure as thoroughly as possible.

In this particular instance, we can see a pair of 470 Class units working Regional Exprés service number 18057 from Barcelona Estació de França to Tortosa, waiting to loop a train coming from the opposite direction at Mont-Roig del Camp.

Interestingly, during the final days of operation on this line, this was the only train of the day heading in this direction that called at this station. In the opposite direction, towards Barcelona, there were three services that called.
