Last December of 2012 was organized by the AAFCB, Association of Friends of the Barcelona Railway, this historic trip where passengers departed in a double composition of unit 213 from Barcelona Pl. España, traveling to Martorell Empalme to connect with the historical train until Igualada. The return would be identical but in reverse.

The composition consisted of the restored 1003 from FGC ex. MOP/MO (Manresa - Olvan), built in 1955 by Alstom + F13 + Coaches C31 + C36 + C-103 + C-117 + HG219.

The problem was that the cooling system of historic loco 1003 failed, so it had to be rescued and towed by 254.01.
