Uetliberg Railway

One of Zürich's main attractions is the Uetliberg mountain, from whose summit you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city and its namesake lake.

Aside from the steep gradients, what caught my attention the most was the active way the pantographs draw power from the overhead lines. They can shift freely across the width of the train in order to follow the contact wire.

In this snapshot, we can observe both features, with a pair of multiple units arriving at Uetliberg from Zürich HB.
