The sunset of the Catalan camels
The Lleida-La Pobla line has always been a secondary line with an interesting history, but of difficult-to-surpass beauty in these parts.
In 2005 the line was transferred to Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, and in 2016 new trains by Stadler were incorporated, which are already owned by this company.
Between the years 2005 and 2016, after considerable improvements were made to the layout, stations and stops, the trains that ran in commercial service were still owned by Renfe Operadora and operated with staff from the same company, it was a curious mixture for eleven years.
In this snapshot you can see one of the Camellos S/592 in service on a less common track at Pobla de Segur station, in this case because the main track was occupied by the magnificent tourist train Tren dels Llacs.
