Historic FGC train with the 1003

That 18th December 2011 now feels a long time ago. On that day, the newly restored FGC locomotive 1003 (ex-MOP/MO, Manresa - Olvan), built by Alstom in 1955, set off with the following formation: 1003 + F13 + coaches C31 + C36 + C-103 + C-117 + HG219 from Martorell Empalme to Manresa Alta and vice versa.

Organised by the Asociación de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Barcelona (Barcelona Friends of the Railway Association), passengers departed from Barcelona - Pl. Espanya on a double-formation Class 213 unit. They travelled as far as Martorell Empalme to connect with the heritage train to Manresa Alta. The return journey was identical but in reverse.
