Euromed's Memories

While visiting Valencia, I slipped away for a short while to Valencia Fuente de San Luis to catch, among other things, a rather peculiar sight.

Here we see a 100 Class unit working an AVE service from Castellón to Madrid, running on conventional tracks fitted with a dual-gauge third rail. This brings back fond memories of when part of this class was renumbered as the 101 Class, operating the Euromed services between Barcelona and Valencia, it was quite a spectacle.
