Monistrol de Montserrat Station

One day I covered the route of the old Cremallera de Montserrat, between the stations of Monistrol de Montserrat (Adif) and Monistrol-Vila (FGC).

After crossing the Barrio de la Bauma district, follow the C-58 road briefly and pass under the Llobregat-Anoia line of FGC, then follow the route briefly in parallel to the latter and an embankment can be seen. If one looks at the Catalan Line, a platform can be seen.

Here you will find the old Monistrol - Empalme station, which allowed passengers to transfer from the old Montserrat rack railway to the Catalan General Railway Company (Barcelona-Manresa line).

The only remnant left aside from the forecourt and the road that runs part of the Tram Cable route is this platform.

In the snapshot we see a pair of units 213, serving an R5 Manresa-Barcelona.
